You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Roland sits down on the cushion and meets eyes with the hag "My lady I seek guidance" Roland says as he bows his head. "I Hail from a small heartlander village and I have come seeking adventure and honor!". "My father, the blacksmith Hurin, would tell me tales of great heroes clad in iron helping those in need". "I've crafted this armor in hopes of being like one of those great heroes of old". "Fair lady, I plead you to give me guidance, where will I find the adventure I seek?"

In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming takes you out of character and when I roleplay I like to try and put myself in the shoes of the character, also struggle makes a character feel more real.
In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Its unfair to meta game because using information that your character wouldn't know can give you an advantage.
