    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Knowing something from a person without them knowing themselves, for example knowing a name because you saw it in a book, but that person has no idea about it.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: The abillity to overpower someone by using an emote in a way that he/she can't respond or defend. For example: Glup shoots [name] in the head. It would be better if it was: Glup attempts to shoot [name] in the head.

Faredir was born in the capital Fenn, isolated from the other races. He wanders through the Northern lands. An eye was injured in a battle, which led him not able to fight for a while. Faredir was always one to be the most comfortable alone, he is scared to speak untill more trust is gained, which led to some people think he was dangerious or not to be trusted. Faredir is still wary when it comes to other Elves. He tried to understand the ways of magic, but the lack of magic used by other Mali’fenn quickly gave him the hint that it would not pay off studying any further.

 

The military training might prove useful in the future. He is still new to the world, only the Northern lands and mountains are known to him. When he was young, he used to always train fighting with his self-made wooden sword. He knows how to smelt ore, how to make basic weapons made of iron, but he always liked to smith armor. Armorsmithing always interested him. Faredir grew up in a familly that always allowed him to be wandering through the streets, and be on hiself, for as long he came back home before it was night time. His left eye was injured in a fight with an Mali'ame, the Mali'ame became so mad that he tried to blind my eye, that is where Faredir learned that rage is not the right weapon, when you cannot control your anger.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Ø  Your metagaming definition does not match the server’s definition of metagaming. Please refer to our wiki page on metagaming for the most correct and relevant info (Just keep in mind not to plagiarize). Your powergaming definition is also a little vague. Please add an example to it.

 

Ø  You may not include references to lore outside of the server’s lore, such as Winterfell. LotC is a unique rp setting which you can find out more about on our wiki.

 

Ø  Your character’s biography is too short. Please extend this to at least two decent sized paragraphs. You could include things such as your character’s place of birth, family, profession and any important events that have happened to them.

 

Ø You must include at least one server lore reference in your character biography (other than your character’s race or family, or one of the server’s maps). This lore reference could be something like the name of the city your character was born in or an event such as a war that your character has lived through. Please fix this using the wikia and forums for examples to use.

 

Ø Please add more to your character’s description. Include things such as their hair colour, eye colour and any other notable features. Note that your character’s description should match the skin you have chosen.

 

Ø You must include at least one clear flaw in your character's interesting facts/traits.  A flaw should generally be something to do with the character’s personality/behaviour.

 

Ø Aegis is a past map/continent in LotC that was vacated long ago. Due to your character’s age, they would not have been alive during the time it was inhabited. Please use lore from the server’s current map, ‘Arcas’, or the map that has only just been vacated, ‘Atlas’.

 

Ø Your character would not have been alive when Aelthos was, or when snow elves were created. Please remove these parts from your character’s biography.
