Sounds of silence quickly burst into crowds of people in all directions, the sun breaks through his shut Eyes as Korrick squints at the person who is talking to him though wall of people in front of the stall he was in.
"Welcome!" He began. "what brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? wealth? or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?"
"I'm looking to start fresh." I responded shielding my eyes from the suns rays. "Please forgive me, resting on the deck of a boat isn't the best thing for my back". the man looked at Korrick from head to toe "Ah, I see" he belted out. "A remnant of Renelia!" . Korrick looked at the man with confusion and replied " I keep being told about that place but i have no memory of its existence". The man laughed " Now thats new, an elf with amnesia, do you know anything where you came from?" Korrick, feeling suddenly out of place looks away from the merchant and says "i don't know to much of anything from before waking up in a field, sir" His eyes dart back at the merchant "Not exactly something i've been able to talk about either." His words fell out of his mouth sharply as he sharply adjusted his back pack and stormed off muttering to himself. "Of all the nerve of some people. i cant be the only one in all the realms suffering from memory loss."
Before he made it to far away the man shouts "Hold on!" causing Korrick to stop in his tracks "You dropped this paper" The man jumps over the stall and dashes the short distance Korrick walked to hand him the paper. "You need to be careful son." He panted out. " looks like the writing of a lover or mother " Korrick quickly snatched the paper from him and snapped back saying "i have no idea who wrote it!" He paused "Its all i had when i woke up. i spent the last 10 years wondering the lands asking what they knew of a red hooded dark elf but no a single soul could give me answers" tears began to form in his eyes as he spoke. "There there" said the man "Head twords Norland, Elves are accepted there and it looks like you need a home. a real one" Korrick wiped his face and looked at the man with a smile "Thank you so much" He said gratefully. "sorry for being rude". The man looked directly into Korricks eyes and said "just go live a happy long life" Korrick smiles and begins to walk through the crowds of people and vanished into the world.
