You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Ah! And I was worried I had the wrong place!" He jokingly says before sitting down. "Anyways, my name's Grimm. I'm another traveler trying to live a nice and peaceful life where I can, and attempting to make some friends along the way, if possible. Maybe I'll even be able to learn some magic!.. hopefully." Looking down, he mutters under his breath, "and maybe set up a little place for myself among all this chaos.." He then suddenly looks up, and asks the old lady, "Is there anything else you'd want to know? I thought there might have been more to it from how urgent it seemed from the messenger.."

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I tend not to play powerful characters in the first place. I just like being just a normal guy for the most part. And either way, I tend to go with the tried and true "i attempt to.." method for things regarding other people.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It just tends to be really annoying and immersion-breaking when somebody suddenly has knowledge of something their character DEFINITELY should not have. It's just not something a person should ever do unless there is VERY good reason.
