As an infant, Gwendolyn was taken in by the Church in Belvitz after she was left on their front steps in a basket. She was shown love and kindness and was taught to hold the Creator as the centerpiece of her life. However, alongside this warmth came a stringent lifestyle. Every time Gwendolyn expressed her inner-child, she was punished, and over the years, this treatment has led to her becoming extremely subdued and jaded. She spends almost all of her time serving the Church and has little desire to branch out; the subservient life fits her.
