Elaerys’s childhood isn’t exactly what you would call ideal, gladly she doesn't remember a whole lot of it. her mother died on the birthing bed so no memories of her, her father hastily followed dying in unspecified combat. she was just about to turn a year old when her parents was ripped away from her. a few weeks following the tragedy she was given to an orphanage in an all but nameless town on the outskirts of the Princedom of Fenn. although she never saw the inside of her species’s homeland, she is a true Mali’fenn born and raised.
She grew to like the orphanage and its inhabitants, mostly elven and human but she didn’t based on that. She formed a very tight-knit group of friends, they did everything together; played sports, learned the ways of art and culture, played with wooden dolls which were a bit too broken but they made it work. they even shared meals with was quite unheard of in a place like that. she bonded with Her closest friend Elisa over plants, something they shared a common interest with. the issue started when Elisa was adopted, by a middle aged couple from Kaedrin who seemed to be on the more well off side. quite naturally Elaerys wanted to follow her friend to her new home, but of course that wasn’t an option. After she left, Elaerys grew quieter, more shy and distanced herself away from most people.
She never did get adopted, but shes not necessarily mad about it, well if she was that resentment is long gone by now. she traveled up to Morsgrad when she was nearing her 19th birthday. she quickly acquainted herself into the society, getting a job working a store front. moving into a relatively large house, away from the centre. she is very happy with her simple life, not being one for adventure or conflict.
her aspiration in life is to have children, shes dreamed of having little elfs running around. she wishes to give them what she never had, a family.
*Elaerys turns around to fully face the man, taking in his appearance.*
“I mean i wouldn’t mind wealth, but its not my first aspiration.” *she says turning towards the stalls, briskly walking to a food stall*
“I’m actually here to meet with one of my childhood friends, my ship was already behind schedule.” *she says nonchalantly buying a loaf of bread.*
“And i don’t exactly want to keep her waiting much longer. so if you would excuse me.* she says turning to look the man in the face.
The man looked at in somewhat surprise. he opened his mouth “Of course, wouldn’t want to keep you waiting.” he says turning to the next unlucky soul to step onto the dock.
