    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a person uses out of character events(real life) to influence the in character story. For instance, if a person in character were to be traveling to a city that was being attacked but then changed their destination because a friend had told them in real life that the city was being attacked, then that would be metagaming. They used real life events to influence and change the course of the story in game.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when a person gives themselves godly or god-like attributes to make them invincible or overly powerful. It is also when a character creates an event or action that does not give the other player a choice on what happens next.
