Paul Rudd was born in the southern part of Renatus to his highlander father and mother. He grew up with the expectations of being a farmhand. Instead he grew an interest in digging ditches, levies, and holes. This skill proved helpful around the many farmlands in the area since proper irrigation was essential for a good crop harvest. As time went on, he grew more haggard under the shining sun. At the age of 17. Paul Rudd was accused of murder of a small village girl he fancied. He received several lashings across his whole body and face. He nearly bled to death. As he was on the edge of death, the true killer was found after a report was filed about a man bragging about how he defiled a wench like the village girl. After a short interrogation, he confessed to killing her after he did the deed. Paul Rudd was let go with 3 Minas as compensation, and over 92 brutal scars across his body. He has traveled ever since as a ditch digger. He never went home because he didn’t think his family would love a man who looks like he ended up on the wrong side of a cheese grater.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
