You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Pakola, better known by her peers as Pako, would raise an eyebrow. Growing up back home with her Qalasheen family, she had been known to find trouble through her constant pranks and overwhelming curiosity about the world. However, this did not always go over well with her strict parents. From a young age she learned to only express her mischievous nature in situations that she could find a way out of if need be. Now that she had more independence at the age of 20, this situation seemed to be the perfect chance to let some of her true self shine.
"I suppose that I am looking to learn about the parts of the world I was sheltered from all my life..." She would go over to the cushion and sit down, taking in her surroundings. "But before I continue, I would also like to know your story." There would be a playful look in her eyes as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small box. "Say, shall we play a game to decide who goes first?"
