    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming would be if the person playing the character read up on a subject then the character also suddenly knew about the subject.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when someone carries out unrealistic or unfair actions.

My character would respond by saying that she is looking for an adventure but she can do so on her own. She would then give the gentleman a kind smile then walk away.
