Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Christophus a young and brave boy ready to take on any challenge that stands in front. He comes from a small farm and a loving family, but the day he becomes a man will be the day he lost everything. He always knew he was destined for greatness, so he strolled and pushed through everything and life had to offer to become someone one day. Christophus was a soldier who stood out from his peers whit his sword skills, he was winning sparring fights left and right with his peers and wanted a better challenge “Christophus: Is there someone here that could at least leave a mark on me?”, as he said that he didn’t know that soon he would regret those words. A few months pass and he was conscripted into the army as a last ditch effort to push the enemies away, but what would happen next will for always change his life. As his army approached the battlefield slowly and cautiously “Loud screams, stomps and cries could be heard”, Christophus though to himself “This is the day I will show my worth to the King, I will slay everyone that dares to oppose him, I will show no MERCY”…………..As the battle concludes and the final swords have drawn large “echoes” of cries of help could be heard throughout the battlefield. Christophus was clinging for his life as the only thing his eyes could see were his fellow soldiers were being killed. As the fight was raging and swords were slashing he heard a loud scream from his commander “RETREAT” as the numbers of the armies start dwindling big stomping noises could be heard throughout the field from the enemies marching towards him. He started retreating but the enemy was pushing and his fellow soldiers were dropping dead by the second at the moment the only thing that was going through his mind was “Am I next? Is this the end of my life?”, once a prominent young man destined for more, now he is nothing more than a running target. As he started running and running through the forests, the adrenaline in his blood stream diminished and he started to feel the pain all around his body and slowly started to slow down to think “Where am i…..?”. He continues walking and as the forest clears up he sees a village in the midst of the swamps “He no longer feels his legs but he continues walking forward to safety”.
When he reaches the village he could feel his heart pounding as if it was going to explode, but in the close distance he sees an old lady that’s waving at him. He sits on the cushion, with his body covered in wounds and blood, and in pain he tries to clear his throat from some of the blood and greet her “Hello! After the defeat crushing defeat at the battlefield I am in search of a ship to return home and report to my ...” As he was trying to finish his sentence he fainted from the pain and dehydration!
-And this will be the starting point of our protagonist, due to the trauma he experienced on the battlefield when he fainted he hit his head and will forget his past life and his story. Onwards is a new life in which he will forge a new path in his travels he may uncover some old memories but nobody knows where the wind will blow our Protagonist!
