You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
 

Karlioneth raises an eyebrow, suspicion crossing his typically confident expression. The young elf would make his way forwards and take a seat after a brief moment of hesitation, adjusting himself ever so slightly on the cushion. He took a breath, before deciding to speak.
”My name is Karlioneth Starryn, although I expect you were aware of such a fact due to the way you said that you were expecting my arrival. I am a High Elf from the city of Leyu’sil and that is where I called my home until my eventual departure. However, that’s skipping far too ahead, isn’t it?” A pause as the young elf regained his breath, then proceeded to speak more. His arms crossed over his lap as he did so. “I was born to a couple, as all are, in the depths of this city — to Liandor and Chatrienne Ivanelis. I was one of many children, but I was born alongside my sister Kazuyan. We were raised alongside our siblings, however our mother was a soldier in the army at the time and therefore could not be as home as often as we wished. Our eldest brother took care of us while Father was busy, and for a while it was going well. Although, like all things, this eventually went downhill. Our brother and mother would bicker often, with them ending up letting the tension fester. Eventually, I could tell you that our brother grew tired of it and soon unleashed a type of violence that not many would dare to. Our mother, at a rather young age for most of us, ended up getting murdered by him.” A brief pause as he recalled the incident, then he shook his head. He’d rather not think about it as of right now. “But nonetheless, he ended up getting arrested by those who were in power. This, however, left an impact on my home that I’d much rather not delve into. Regardless of the situation, Kazuyan and myself were sent elsewhere for the time being as to recover from the incident. Our father didn’t wish to do much with us, so that’s exactly why we needed to go to our uncle, Mikhilor. He was who raised us, and was — I admit — much better than our brother and father had ever been. He was who brought my interest into serving the country I had been raised in, but eventually I had to carve my own path. That’s — actually exactly why I’m in this town. Not for fortune or whatever most would, but simply to pursue fate.” The elf finished his brief story with this ending note, before he straightened himself back up.

(As an Out-of-Character headsup, I was unable to fit what I wished to within the description of my character and that’s why it’s as short as it is. If it’s supposed to be any longer, just know that it was out of my own personal control because it simply wouldn’t let me type further.)
