    Application Rules

    • You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to join LotC. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    • You must have completely read the server rules to be accepted.
    • Your application must entirely be your own original work. Plagiarism isn’t tolerated. If you plagiarize any section of your application, you will be denied.
    • You cannot create a noble or royal character, or create a character that is friends with a noble or royal, without the permission of the player whose character’s child, or friend, you will be playing.
    • You cannot create a character that:
      • Possesses or knows the details of magic.
      • Is physically flawless or is omniscient, as these are both classified as powergaming.
    • Your Character Age must be at least 18.
      • Humans, elves, and dwarves all reach physical and mental maturity at 18.
      • Culturally, humans reach maturity at the standard 18 years, while dwarves and elves reach this at 50 with the exception of snow elves at 30.
      • Halflings reach physical and mental maturity at 33.
      • Orcs reach physical mature anywhere between 12-18, and they mentally mature at 18.
    • You can create an evil character; however, you should keep in mind that villainous characters must adhere to our villainy rules, and poor-quality villainy roleplay could lead to Moderation intervention.

    Application Guidelines

    • Remember to read all notes under each text box. Some of these include requirements for your application, helpful tips, and so on.
    • Your Character Skin should match the gender, race, and physical description (as best as possible) of your character.
    • Generally, try to keep your application free of grammar mistakes and spelling errors. We aren’t looking for perfection, but a well-written application makes the reviewing process much smoother

    Final Note

    • Check often to see if a Community Team member has reviewed your application. You will receive either an Accepted, Pending, or Denied response with a comment explaining what to do next.

    • While waiting to be reviewed, feel free to log onto LotC as a [Soul]. Souls are the unwhitelisted rank that applicants have, allowing them to fly and explore, as well as chat with members of our community in the [WS] chat channel. Our players and staff are always happy to help with questions, so don't be afraid to ask! Our Community Team members have a [C] prefix in-game if you ever are looking to PM someone with a question.
    • Be sure to save your application in a separate program like Google Docs or Microsoft Word while you're working on it, just in case!

Oliver has spent most of his life tucked away in a modest home within the town of Brandybrook. He grew up with his two loving parents, Matilde and Ulrur, along with his four older brothers. As the youngest, the world was his oyster. He always got away with much more than he should have, and was given everything he had asked for from toys to music lessons. As his brothers aged they began to help Ulrur in the fields, eventually taking wives and moving out of their small hovel. Oliver grew older and older and managed to dodge doing the family business by saying things such as, "what will a field be while im rolling in gold from my music?". He spent day and night practicing and practicing, showing up religiously to everyone of the drinking nights where he frequently overindulged (he was really not that good but that was ok if it got him out of work). He eventually became known as the drunk of brandybrook as he could always be found in a tavern or ditch. Before long, his parents had seen that he wasnt going anywhere with his career and to his great suprise, kicked him out of the house. This destroyed Oliver but he never faltered in his laziness. This being paired with traffic from Aegrothond decreasing ever since the tragedies of the Great Arcas Pumpkin Raid led him into despair. Homeless and unable to make money, he set out for greener pastures in the town of Haense, where he hopes to make his new fortune.

How would you define roleplay, and have you ever roleplayed before?: Roleplay is the glorious art of acting as a character in which you are not. In those beautiful moments, you become another person in their entirety; embodying their personality and story in its whole. I have been playing dungeons and dragons as well as several other tabletop RPG's for 4 or 5 years
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: Not any more!
Character Name: Oliver Timdidlis
Character Race: Halfling
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 36
Physical Description: 3'3 with a slim frame weighing in at about 60 lbs with dark brown eyes and light brown hair. wears common trousers with a white shirt and a cape.
Personality Traits/Quirks: Oliver is an absolute pacifist and coward, almost always avoiding conflict even at his own peril. He is impossibly lazy and has just a small god complex
What is your character’s biggest fear? What caused them to develop this fear?: Work in almost any way shape or form. He grew up a very easy life where he avoided work at any cost before he was kicked out from his parents home. Ever since he has managed to get by performing in taverns and providing entertainement to locals.
What does your character like most about themselves? Why?: The thing that he likes most would have to be his musical talent. Its stopped him from starving to death on many occasions.
What does your character dislike most about themselves? Why?: Secretly he loathes his inability to fight others. He has time and time again been put into situations where he has been forced to give up belongings, pride, and other things due to this.
Roleplay Scenario:

Read the scenario below this box and type out inside of this box how your character might respond. Your response must be at least four sentences long and include at least one action and at least one piece of dialogue surrounded by quotes.

"Aha, welcome indeed good sir!", Oliver says confidently. "Wealth is my desire, as a man like yourself can likely relate to, yes?", he looks the man up and down after giving him a snarky smirk. "Now the first order of business that I will need to attend to is a stiff drink. Ah how a good voyage can build ones thirst!", Oliver says. "So then....your nearest tavern, my dear gentleman?".
