    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using outside information that only the player knows and not their character. An example of this is that the player knows who/what the monster in the woods is by the sounds it's making, and they use that information to evade or kill the monster, yet the character could have no idea what to do as they have never come across or even heard of this monster.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power gaming is stating that you succeed at something, forcing what you want to happen in the game. An example of this is: I kill the monster, instead of: I shoot the monster with my bow. The first instance is forcing what you want to happen, rather than simply attempting it. Another way of power gaming is giving yourself privileges and powers that may make the game unfair or not fun to other players, like immortality.
