Hello folks, this is the tale of I, Lliryx! Yes, I questioned the name of what I was given to my dear grandmother, but alas, she too questions my label. If you, the reader is confused of such pronunciation, well no worries! It is pronounced like "lyrics," like song lyrics! I hope you gained knowledge!
Ah, sorry I was carried away by my own name. Let me introduce myself again. I am Lliryx, a female halfling from a faraway small burrowed town that I used to reside in. I lived and grew up with my grandmother and grandfather, those who I truly trust and love. I never met my parents, since they thought it was a better idea to move into another burrowed town, but it is okay. Because of never meeting them, I have no intentions to find or even THINK about them. My heart goes to the grand-folk who used to watch over me. I am forever grateful.
Like said before, I grew up in a small, close-knit town where my guardians and I reside. My folk were nothing but farmers, and everyday we would tend to our carrots that we would watch over closely. Everyday was a simple routine, from waking up early, to breakfast, to farming, to the drinking, some dinner, and maybe an occasional late night snack before sleeping. It was a wondrous, simple life, interacting with close friends and neighbors that I consider as family. Although grand, unfortunately it all changed when my grandfather... peacefully passed away in his sleep.
Before his passing, he always knew his time would be up soon. He would always reassure grandmother with the lines of "Dear, I'm 150, I learned not to be scared of death." I myself do not understand how one cannot be fearful of passing, but to each their own. Unlike me and some townsfolk who respected his wishes for us not to be sad, grandmother did take it hard. He was the light of joy, always making her laugh everyday, even before passing. Grandmother to this day hasn't really smiled nor laughed as much ever since he was gone. It's quite sad.
Albeit this state my dear grandmother is in, I personally took matters to my own hands. Sure my whole town would try their best to cheer grandmother up, but because she is the only close family I have left, I decided to dedicate my life to cheer her up and be the one to make her smile again. No, there won't be such praying nor belief in some false prophet to enhance my ability to cheer her up, that is rather odd. I believe in the sheer dedication and passion I have to boost my own talents to entertain her.
I remember few days after grandfather passed, I would try my best to make grandmother laugh. By a simple good ol' fashioned "knock-knock" joke or a subtle funny memory of grandfather. Though even with great effort, the best reaction I would get from her would be a sad, slight smile. This is why, after months of no laughter from grandmother, I decided to venture off from my humble abode and venture to greater lands to hopefully gain knowledge of entertainment. Before grandmother and grandfather settled, they were adventurers themselves! It was years ago, even before they had by birth parents. I guess this too was what sparked motivation to leave.
It was hard leaving, not even emotionally-- physically too. Carrying a heavy pack filled with nothing but carrots is difficult. Though with that aside, it was hard saying goodbye to my neighbors and close friends... and grandmother. Of course we held a grand party before my disappearance, it was great, but the whole time I talked only to grandmother. I reassured that I will be back, lively and well, along with maybe some trinkets from adventures!!
I am quite tired writing the progress of my entire life. Hopefully I will be able to record more adventures soon.

Being introduced to a gentleman, she looked into his eyes and gave a big, toothy grin, "Why thank you, good sir! I am here to adventure and learn the great ways to entertain and bring joy!" She took out her right hand, ready for a handshake, "Now, do you happen to know where the nearest pub is?"
