In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I avoid powergaming by always keeping my character’s abilities, knowledge, and actions consistent with their background, physical condition, and the rules of the setting. I make sure that my character does not perform unrealistic or exaggerated actions that would be unfair compared to others, especially in combat or high-risk situations. When interacting with other players, I never force outcomes onto their characters. Instead, I phrase my actions as attempts and leave room for the other player to react, respond, or counter them. This ensures that roleplay remains collaborative rather than competitive. Additionally, I respect limitations placed on special abilities such as magic.
In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay by breaking the separation between player knowledge and character knowledge, giving one character an unfair advantage that was not earned through in-character experiences. When information obtained OOC—such as wiki knowledge, voice chats, or server discussions—is used IC without proper roleplay justification, it undermines immersion and damages trust between players. It also harms narrative consistency, as characters may act with unrealistic awareness or suspicion without any in-character reason. This removes tension, mystery, and natural character development from the roleplay.

Character Gender: Male

[ Seems like i'm not able to write more in the previous description, so I will continue it here ]

His build is lean and graceful rather than muscular, reflecting the natural elegance typical of his kind. He has long, silvery-blond hair, usually kept loose or lightly tied behind his back, and sharp, refined facial features with high cheekbones. His eyes are a clear pale blue, carrying a calm and observant gaze that often gives the impression of quiet intelligence and restraint. His ears are long and pointed, unmistakably marking his elven heritage. Aeghad typically dresses in finely crafted yet practical garments—layered robes and fitted tunics in muted tones such as deep green, ivory, or silver, often accented with subtle elven patterns. When traveling, he wears a light cloak and well-maintained leather boots, favoring mobility and comfort over heavy armor. His overall appearance conveys composure, discipline, and a dignified presence befitting a High Elf.

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?))

Aeghad pauses at the hag’s words, his expression tightening only for a brief moment before he exhales slowly. He inclines his head in a gesture of cautious respect and takes the offered seat, folding his cloak neatly as he settles onto the cushion. “I do not often wander into places such as this,” he begins, his voice calm but low, eyes briefly studying the flickering candles rather than the hag herself. “Yet here I am all the same. Drawn by rumor, by whispers that carried my name farther than I ever intended.” His pale blue gaze finally meets hers. “I was born among the spires and quiet halls of my people, where time moves slowly and destinies are chosen carefully. But I left that life behind. Curiosity, regret… perhaps both,” he admits. “I have spent years traveling, learning what the world offers beyond elven borders—knowledge, mistakes, and lessons that cannot be found in books alone.” Aeghad straightens slightly. “This town,” he gestures faintly toward the canvas walls, “was not my destination. Yet I have learned that the paths we do not choose often matter the most. If you have been expecting me,” his tone sharpens with restrained intrigue, “then perhaps you already know that I am searching for answers… and that I will not turn away from them, even if they are unpleasant.” He falls silent, waiting—not impatiently, but attentively—for the hag’s response.
