You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

i sit down and start speaking, "I'm Rentis, son of a blacksmith and a , i came from north looking for a new life, when i was young, my parents wanted to teach me how to fight so that one day it could be useful and just a couple days ago, it saved my life, my village was under-attack by a couple of bandits, i managed to escape and got shoot by an arrow on my back, and now here i am, walking away looking for a new beginning, i lost all my friends back there, i still remember the days we passed drinking and gambling at the tavern, when we went hunting. But now is all gone, forever."

"Oh, I'm, sorry, i didn't…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…
