24 years ago, Varsa was born to a small family of meat-driers on the shores of The Free State of Sutica. Though not wealthy, Varsa enjoyed a comfortable life with his parents until the age of 7. Varsa was busy playing about the smoking rooms, running through the fire and smoke, dressed in his father's nicest furs. When, all of a sudden, Varsa kicked over one of the braziers, and torched the kindling that was lying on the ground, burning down the smoke room, his home, and a portion of the village. For this, VArsa and his family were exiled. Though, not all was over for the Ascellus family. They packed up a cart, and made way for Sutica. Traversing the nation was no easy task, as Varsa was badly burned, and his parents insisted on spending every penny they made on medicine to heal him. Attempting to pick up the trade his father taught was hard, as Varsa began to develop an innate fear of the smoke and fire that drying required use of. So, Varsa instead picked up sewing, and other matronly skills his mother could teach. One of these such skills was the origins of the altar-laying, the sacraments and rights of Aldunian Creatorism. Just as her mother had taught her, Varsa's Mother taught him. All the way back to the Aldunian diaspora across Aegis, after the Undead Invasion. Varsa eventually healed, and grew. On the fringes of society, travelling, trading, crafting, and praying. Varsa picked up fishing, and foraging. But Varsa never fully recovered, mentally or physically. Varsa's mother passed away just a year after the abdication of the Sutican Monarchy. And his father was not long for this world after that. Varsa buried them in a quiet ceremony by the seaside, in the cart they had travelled in for so long. With his father's best furs, and his m,other's knowledge, Varsa set off alone, to find the world he had been missing out on, and to try and make a name for himself as a craftsman and holy person.
