Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

He stood straight at barely two and a half feet tall with an easy confidence within, earned through his travels rather than bravado. His nose twitched slightly as the scent of rotten wood and wet moss hit him, he seemed to shrug the smell off as if he was used to the scent. As the old hag spoke his eyebrows lifted. He quickly turning toward the location of the voice as he made out her shadow in the back of the dim tent. His startled state was soon followed by a short laugh.
"That saves me the trouble of introducin' myself!" He said cheerfully, his voice light and charming.
He wobbled himself over toward the cushion she had previously gestured to, keeping his cheerful expression on his face at all times. He climbed onto the cushion with a small hop.
"Name's Cresswell, Cresswell Thornfinger." He added with a grin. "Ive been all over lately, roads, ruins, forests, you name it, Ive been there." As he spoke he glanced down toward his hands. With an unbothered hum he tugged at the fingers of his gloves, slowly removing the gloves from his hands. The gloves were a noticeably worn thin and darkened from use. He folded them up and placed them neatly in his pocket for later. His nails would be rimmed with dirt with faint scratches going across his palms, old traces of blisters that have long healed. He seemed to get himself comfortable, taking a moment to fidget around until he felt it was perfect.
"Truth is, i'm tired of walkin'!" He said with a shrug. "I think im goin' ta finally settle myself down! And i think this place is perfect, dont ya think!?" He let out a small, timid chuckle. "This places seems to have character, folks who need help, my help."
