Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example: Jakwin nods toward the crone and slowly kneels upon the cushion, thoroughly scanning the surroundings without turning his head. "I come from a village of the forest" he states, calmly yet with confidence. "In a land of long, dark winters. My father was a woodsman, he passed two winters ago. I lost my mother to fever when I was but a boy." His eyes now fixated upon the flame of a candle. "I had gone to the river to fish when my village was razed. I seek lodging and a meal for the night. I can pay." He looks up to meet her eyes, The test of time showing wear upon his face.
