Kakrol Goldhand was born in the year 1636, in the new Kingdom of Kaz’Ulrah, and was born into the clan of Thoak Goldhand. While not sharing a direct connection to the future King, Kakrol grew up in an environment with loving parents who were small time merchants and miners. Kakrol and his close cousin Bodmer would often get into trouble together. Kakrol would look out for his younger cousin, as Kakrol was born into a family that were strong miners while his cousin was born into a merchant family.
Kakrol was not a great merchant, and his Goldhand blood only made him an average merchant. He did not stand out in business, but he excelled in mining. Young dwed were amazed at how good he was at mining, and even some Longbeards thought that Kakrol was one of the best miners they had ever seen.
Kakrol was, and will forever be, a proud Goldhand. While others make their coin bartering, he makes his coin digging up the treasures of the ground. When Ulrah fell, Kakrol was devastated. So much so that he refuses to even mention Ulrah when asked about it.
After the fall, Kakrol was bitter about his fellow kin and served as an independent miner for many years. When his younger cousin Bodmer reached out to him to inform him of the Under-Realm, and that there could be a new home for him he was excited. Finally he can return home to his kin.
