Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Meira doesn’t move right away. Instead, she studies her. The elf’s posture remains straight and alert. Suspicion flickers across her face—subtle, but present. She shifts her weight slightly, listening to the sounds outside the tent: the chorus of swamp insects and the distant creak of old wood somewhere in the town. “You’ve been expecting me…?” she repeats slowly. Her gaze narrows just a little, cautious. “Strange thing to say to someone you’ve never met.” Meira finally lowers herself onto the cushion, though not fully at ease. Her shoulders remain tense, ready to rise again if needed. “Still… I did not come here to trade riddles,” she continues, her voice calm and steady. “I am Meira Leafwind.” She inclines her head slightly. “I left my old village, seeking adventure and new discoveries.” Her dark-brown eyes lift to meet the hag’s again. “So I happened to stumble upon this town.” Another small pause passes before she adds, more quietly: “If you truly expected me… then perhaps you already knew that.”
