    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a player uses information obtained from out of game, or via private methods, and allows it to influence them in game. For example lets say that one were to find out a village had been taken over by a villainous character talking with a player (say in discord) and came to attack the villain, even though the character had heard absolutely nothing in the actual game. That would be metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: I would describe powergaming as taking the roleplay out of the realm of possibility completely, and essentially making it so everything would go your way without error, no matter how insane or just simply impossible the prospects. For example if i were in the world and i said i just so happened to find a million diamonds in a chest or killed the final enemy with one blow because of a weapon I found in the enemys base, that would be power gaming.
