Midoris Aquila was born near the outskirts of the The Holy Orenian Empire's capital, Providence. Her father was a physician and her mother was a typical housewife. Both of them were religious, and led their lives as strict as possible, these strict traditions were soon later forced upon Midoris during her childhood. Her strict upbringing forbid her of having an ordinary childhood as a heartlander, and eventually developed an introverted personality. Void of many friends, she had only made a few childhood friends and due to her awkward personality she was rendered unapproachable by many. From a very young age, Midoris had started taking interest in reading all sorts of different books, and as a result was ahead of the curve when it came to literacy.
Her father, noticing her interest in literature, started taking her to the library where her time was mostly spent on reading and studying. Although she excelled in education, the typical heartlander traditions were forced upon her, making her more busy day by day. During her teenage years, she would be forced to learn the basics of housekeeping and being a housewife, piled up alongside her rigorous studying, she was often pushed to the limit and lost a lot of sleep over her personal goals.
At the age of 17, she noticed this stressful lifestyle took a toll on her personal health, her parents took note of her keen interest in magic though revolted and forbid her of ever attempting to advance her studies in that field. She eventually found work, working as an assistant at the library where she's often seen cleaning and re-arranging books, though most of the time she'd still be reading books of all sorts, ranging from educational to novels. Though normally not rebellious towards her parents demands, she decided to keep diving into magical studies and hopes to one day find a mentor that can teach her in secret, away from her parents.
Stepping off the boat, her seasick expression fades away quickly as she takes a look around the sprawl around her. She re-arranges her glasses with a smile on her face, observing everything from a distance, she'd peer around cluelessly and awkwardly wander around for a bit in her spot before getting familiar with her surroundings. She'd stop dead in her tracks when approached by the well dressed man, looking up to him as he speaks to her though avoiding to make direct eye contact. "Greetings sir, I hail from Providence." she responds politely though anxiously twirling her thumbs around in her palms, "I'm just a passing scholar interested in learning more about this city, would it be too much of a burden if you could show me the way to the local library, please?". Her bookworm attitude drives her towards less of a sightseeing and more of a learning by book adventure. She'd follow along and listen to any stories or information the gentleman gives her along the way to the library, nodding in silence along the way.
