Valathla looked at the man, immediately taking note that he was not elven, and as her eyes scanned the crowds of buyers and traders, she also noticed many there were not either, her eyes becoming nearly serpentine as they narrowed in suspicion, but nonetheless, offered back a cold smile to the man. “How ironic is it that I’ve come to this city just to get as far from it as possible?” She offered a laugh of genuine humor. “But, for your convenience, mark me down as that last one; I would hope you hear a lot from me soon.” Her voice became a bitter purr, and without much of a word more, she walked past him like a breeze, her “higher than thou” complex burning through with each step and each clack of her heels.
