You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Oh, I just, uh…" Kenia stuttered, tensing up. She eyed the crone, then glanced back outside the tent. The swampy town seemed to have a life of its own, with shadows dancing between the shacks and cabins, and the distant croak of frogs creating an eerie melody. For a moment, the air inside the tent thickened with anticipation, until Kenia decided to take a seat, curiosity overpowering your unease.

Kenia settled onto the cushion, her eyes never leaving the old hag. "I'm not sure why I'm here," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was just passing through the swamp, and I got lost. I never intended to come to this town."

The old hag cackled, her laughter echoing eerily in the dimly lit tent. "Lost, are you?" she said, her eyes glinting with a strange knowing. "There are no accidents in these parts, child. Fate has a way of leading people to where they need to be, not where they want to be."

Kenia felt a chill crawl down her spine at the witch's words, but she couldn't deny the truth in them. "But why me?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine confusion. "What could I possibly offer or change in this town?"

The hag leaned forward, her face illuminated by the flickering candlelight. "You have a power within you," she said, her voice low and conspiratorial. "A power you don't yet understand. The town is in grave danger, and you, dear child, are the key to saving it."

Backstory:
Kenia comes from the family Sythaerin. She is an only child who is very ambitious and eager to learn.
