Koreya is a mountain dwarf from the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, currently living in the realm of Azuras. She was raised deep in the dwarven halls alongside her parents and two older brothers, where hard work and loyalty to clan meant everything. Her father worked the forge crafting weapons and tools for soldiers and miners, while her mother helped keep records for their clan and taught Koreya old dwarven traditions. Growing up underground around miners, smiths, and warriors made her stubborn and rough around the edges, but also proud of being a dwarf.
Koreya spent most of her younger years helping in the mines or getting into fights with other clan children trying to prove herself. She always looked up to the warriors of Urguan and dreamed of traveling outside the city to see more of Azuras instead of staying in the same halls forever. After one of her brothers was badly injured during a mining accident, Koreya started losing faith in the safety of the mines and the life she had always known. She eventually decided to leave home and travel across Azuras on her own, taking whatever work she could find while trying to earn glory for herself and her clan. Even though she left, she still carries the values of Urguan with her and hopes to someday return as someone her family can be proud of.

Koreya stepped into the shack slowly, shaking rain from her cloak as her eyes adjusted to the candlelight. Her gaze immediately locked onto the old hag at the back of the room, and she gave a short, wary pause before taking another step inside. She kept one hand near her belt as she muttered, “If ye were expectin’ me, then I hope ye’re not disappointin’.” With a low grunt, she pulled out the chair and sat down heavily, the wood creaking under her weight.
“I come from what used to be Urguan,” Koreya said after a moment, her voice rougher now. “Back when it was still dwarven hands runnin’ the halls… before the Empire of Man took hold of it.” She glanced down at the floor, jaw tightening slightly before she continued. “Didn’t stick around after that. Didn’t feel right, seein’ our own halls changin’ hands like that.”
Koreya leaned back, folding her arms across her chest. “So I left. Been wanderin’ Almaris since, pickin’ up work wherever I can, tryin’ to make somethin’ of myself outside those stone walls.” Her eyes narrowed slightly as she looked back to the hag. “But if you really were expectin’ me, then I’ve got a feelin’ this ain’t just about where I came from.”
