Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Ah... it's me?" Elorra stared at the old hag for a few moments, then wandered further into the tent. She smoothed out her skirts and sat down on the ground. "Expecting me, no less? Well... what's the harm, I suppose?"
She cleared her throat and stared at floating candles.
"Orphaned a long time ago, adopted by a wood elf family in a small village some distance away. It was..." she hesitated, glancing at the hag out of the corner of her eyes before she cleared her throat once again. "It got burned to the ground. Bandits, invading forces, I'm not sure. My parents, sister, and I all fled by boat, only for that to be capsized on the journey. My older sister, Raewyn is her name by the way, managed to secure a bit of driftwood to keep us afloat. We went where the waves took us, and so here we are. We're trying to rejoin our parents, but..."
Elorra sat in silence for a while after she trailed off, then gave the hag a smile.
"You wouldn't happen to have seen a Mali'ame couple wander in through here, have you?"
