Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
AH! *jumps up all startled*-- what... who are you? why were expecting me? *looks around worriedly, already starting to sweat*
(for the sake of continuity I'll presume the old hag insists that he tells her his story)
*looks at the cushion, still tense, but sits down* alright, if you insist....
I grew up in the kingdom of Numendil to parents who were bureaucrats in the Duchy of the Adrians. People everywhere you look... Big stone buildings everywhere, bustling streets, everyone always has to be somewhere... *shakes his head* I hated it. I always wanted to get away, you know, see something truly different. I did actually run away a free times... *chuckles then scratches his head embarrassingly* but I always came back, I never knew how to fend for myself. If it wasn't for my aunt, I'd probably still be in the city... fortunately, she had a farm outside the city, she taught me a lot, how to survive, how to fend for myself... I stayed with her, worked for her, I enjoyed it.... but after a decade that wasn't good enough. With the knowledge I gained, I decided to explore the great beyonds, to see how other people live, learn about different communities, their costumes and culture. In Numendil, we tend to think we're the center of the universe, but this is not so. The world is filled with wonderful, interesting people. Some are good, and some are bad, but they all have a story to tell. So... *faint smile* what's your story?
[[hopefully that's enough but I can do more =) ... account name should be correct now, I think I missed capitalization. THANKS!]]
