You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Oh! Um...Hello!" I stammered from the abruptness of the old hags demands, keeping my head down to avoid the gaze of the hag's eyes.
"Well I came from a small country town. There wasn't many people there as it was quite small and only housed about 100 people or so. I'm the 1st born daughter to the Elrick family, alongside my 2 older brothers, Grayson and Arthur. My brothers were constantly helping out my father manage the farms and do any local town work. Whilst my mother and I would spend our time picking flowers in the forest nearby and looking at the wildlife. One morning I'd awoken to my mother in bed, she'd fallen ill from a disease which made her bones brittle..." letting air slip from my lips before inhaling again to continue.
"From then on we stopped going and visiting the forest...my brothers began to fight a lot more and were constantly at each others throats. It was late noon when I was interrupted by a loud cluster of noise coming from the kitchen of our house. It had sounded like pots and pans being thrown or hit against each other. Arthur and Grayson were fighting again...this time it was the worst one they'd had. Arthur began to shout at Grayson about something and it escalated to them pushing and shoving each other which eventually lead to them fighting," my vision blurred as my eyes misted slightly as the events ran rampant throughout my mind like a wild boar again.
"I tried to stop it but they wouldn't listen and just shoved me aside. It was shortly broken up by some of the stronger people in the village. The next morning I woke up to Arthur leaving with saying nothing but just giving me a cold glare. Grayson didn't say much from that day and all I had left was my father who tried his best to keep the family together. As soon as I turned 18 I left the village to travel and try to search for Arthur, for answers. Which brings me to my current state..." I trailed off as I glanced up to look at the expression of the hag, waiting for a response...a noise...anything to signal that she had been listening...
