You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
I eagerly take my seat, resting my weary legs from my long journey. I respectfully take my cap off "Thank you kindly madam, it is a sight for sore eyes to be welcomed so warmly after my venture here so far" I let out a sigh, tired from a days walking "I am returning to Haense to rejoin with my Brother Mayer, us Bergwalds have to stick together after all and he has done pretty well for himself so i hear! I tried my best to make a living trading between the Cities but i suppose this time luck simply wasnt on my side" I take out a flask and pour myself and the old hag a glass of wine...

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Id try and follow basic fairness where possible, and where i dont know id ask beforehand whether the act would be realistic if i am myself unaware.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It gives people an unfair advantage which ruins the merits and fun of Roleplay and Gameplay as a whole.
