Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”


"Hm? Eh? My story?"

The man questioned as he was gestured towards the cushion, eventually conforming as he waltzed on, taking a seat.

"I wouldn't claim my story is that interesting though.. but I'll enlighten you, friend."

He smiled.

"Before this time, I was simply a wandering Merc."

"I hailed from a no-named town that I left at a relatively young age with my family."
"It was arguably the average life a normal person would want, but we are not always so lucky."
"Why?"

"As I am merely Human, just like the others. Thus.. that town was no more once a greater being approached and set it all ablaze."

The man blinked at the old hag, tilting his head as she uttered something to him that left him dumbfounded.

"So humans here aren't to be looked down upon. How intriguing."
"Perhaps the place i originated was rather sheltered to this knowledge."

Shiro would then shrug as he continued.

"Regardless, I was a child when that happened. But afterwards I had been taken in by my teacher who gave me a path to follow.."
"One to see the world for what it truly was."

His plain grey eyes had a fire within, a representation of his own will.

"My path is not one for revenge, but one to explore, discover and learn from those around."

He would stand up from his seat as he stretched his right arm, placing his left on his elbow.

"Oh right, best to let you know too, I always work for a price. But fret not, I'm a reasonable man."

A confident smile appeared on his face.

"Shiro, a Warrior that works as a Mercenary, It's nice to meet you."

A thought bloomed in his mind.

Although, I'll only tell you half the truth.. because nobody needs to know such weaknesses known as Goals, Desires, Fears.. No my story to others will be simple and the same as any other boring individual. My role is not significant enough to allow such connections to be formed.
