How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming would be if someone was to use their non character self as an advantage within the game, such as to prevent something happening. E.g If you were informed or overheard something being said outside of the roleplay about plans, and you decided to act upon it ingame.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming would be to create a character or situation that makes the game unrealistic and unfair to others, if I was to possess unrealistic abilities that enabled me to kill whomever I wished or a magic ability that was not trained towards or was way too overpowered, it would be powergaming.
