Schnee is a child of mixed blood with her father being a High Elf and her mother being a Dark Elf. Her parents met during integration of Norseth’onn as Schnee’s father was a resident in the city. They eventually gave birth to Schnee in the city of Ker’nor. Being that she is a mixed blood, especially of high elf descent, it was difficult for her to find friends as she grew up. Schnee was taught how to use the rapier from a young age like most Dark Elves, though she never showed much promise for it. However, education and the arts were a different story. With her father being a lover of the arts, Schnee grew to have the same curiosity which helped her excel in educational concepts as opposed to low physical ability she had displayed. Before Schnee could enter adulthood, her mother fell ill and eventually passed away. This was a devastating blow to Schnee but was even worse for her father. Because he gave up nearly everything to be with her, Schnee’s father quickly fell into depression. It wasn’t long before his deteriorating health caught up to him and he passed away as well. With both of her parents gone and no other parental figure to fill the void, Schnee fell back on the belief that her mother’s spirit resided in the Ancestral Plane to cope. This belief eventually evolved into the idea that she could interact with her mother’s spirit which gave rise to her hallucinations. At this point Schnee began to wander around Atlas in search of someone to take her in and to learn more about the world that she resides in. As she traveled the lands in Atlas, she finally came of age and accepted the fact that her parents are dead and can never come back. However, the hallucinations did not disappear, instead they manifested into her doubts and insecurities. When Schnee heard of the discovery of Arcas she jumped at the opportunity to start anew and to learn of what the new land has to offer.
