    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Acting upon information that you, the person, knows that your character does not. For instance the player overhearing another player say they're going to attack the ranch at sundown and the character (with no possible way of having to know this) just so happening to go on patrol at that ranch, at that time to try and stop it.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Optimizing every possible stat or skill to always make the most optimal decision and achieving unrealistic standards of performance. A halfling defeating an orc in single hand to hand combat, for instance.

Calmly putting my hand on the hilt of his sword Cinaryl scans the gentleman, looking for any guards or earmarks of a state representative. Seeing none, he take a step forward and gives him a curt smile. Straightening up, he speak in a steady voice, the common tongue stammering on lips more attuned to speaking Elvish. "I am on business for Dimeathor Elervatahar, please stand aside human." He states, before gently pushing past him to enter this city, and complete his task.
