    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Use outside knowledge that your character doesn't know to your advantage. For example, tricking medusa into looking at a mirror when my character has no knowledge of her petrifying stare.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Make your character win a battle using skills they are not good at. basically being op. for example, getting shot in the leg during battle and still being able to fight/win.

She looks at the man and blinks, realizing he's speaking to her. With a small breath, she responds, "I'm here to find my place."
She gives the man a soft smile while tucking loose strands of hair behind her ear. Briefly, She begins to look around the bustling city. She turns her attention back to the man and asks, “I’m new to this city. Is there a place nearby I can rest at for the night?” 

She clutches her bag to her chest and lets out a sigh of excitement.
