Although the rough look of Maximus due to him being brought up in the rough area of Curon. He is actually a very sociable and warm character. He is a very average character and has nothing special about him except his will to explore and see the lands beyond the snowy streets of Curon, however his home and heart will always lie there

 His dad left him at birth and was brought up with just his mother, he can’t remember much about his upbringing other than it was filled with many nights on an empty stomach and days roaming the streets trying to find work. Soon after his 13^th birthday some travellers from the land of Sutica and whilst helping his friend’s mother sell her fish yield from the previous week, this was the only job Maximus could do to earn money for food for his mother and him, it didn’t pay well but it was enough to get by on. Whilst selling the fish he starts talking to a girl from the caravan and this was the beginning of Maximus’ yearn to explore the lands, she told him everything about her travels and at that point on all he ever wished for was a chance to leave Curon and just let fate decide what happens to him. Only problem was his mother, he couldn’t leave her behind.

5 years later his life changed drastically when his mothers life was taken to a raider whilst she was by the port, the raid was swiftly dealt with by the guards but not without a few casualties, being of course Maximus’ mother. After this event his life spiralled into darkness, turning to drugs and theft to pay for the drugs his life was seeming like there was no hope, he had to sleep rough every night and this continued until his 21^st birthday when people came into town advertising jobs to construct the city of Helena, thankfully for Maximus he was sober at this time and still yearned for exploration of foreign lands so he jumped on the opportunity and along with 10 other workers from Curon, from which he knew none but that would change due his sociable nature, went to construct the mighty city of Helena.

Upon arrival all Maximus could think about is how big the city was and where he can find his next shipment of drugs, for the next 6 months he went on with his life making friends with everyone working with him but then whilst he was taking his drugs, which by now he was completely addicted to back from his Curon days, his friend which he was working with from the beginning of his arrival noticed him and instead of reporting it to the officers in Helena, helped Maximus to overcome his drug addiction.

The next 6 months passed and finally the construction of Helena was finished and Maximus was released from his job but due to his help from his friend had a lot of savings and didn’t spend any of it on drugs, his friend went his own way to go back to his family in Curon, he offered to bring Maximus with him but Maximus declined and stayed in Helena. Instead of drugs, he spent this money fixing himself up, he bought a set of tools, some new clothes, with a rough grey cape and a nice three course meal in a tavern which he stayed the night. After a week of staying in the tavern in Helena he decided to go and fulfil his childhood dream of exploring the land. He spent his remaining money on food, a small shank and paying off his tab to the tavern. With this he was ready to set out and go on and start anew.
