    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using information gained outside of game to better your chances of something in game with information your character would have had no way of knowing.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is making something happen that is unfair and/or unrealistic, without any option to counter it or to change it.

Assuming I am playing the role of my character I would respond to the man dressed in the suit saying "My only aspiration in life is to explore the world. Adventure and wealth will allow me to explore the world, but I would like to be free of ties so that I may live my life as I want, learning and proceeding according to myself."
