On a cold night 43 years back. On the 16^th of may. Mary Otherwind gave birth to a small boy in the town of Dunharrow. But the birth had taken alot of toll and she died by a sickness a week later. His two Elder brothers, Isaac and Eric dispised him. Eric was 3 when he was born whilst Isaac was 5. Johan Otherwind his father. Sent him to join the Dunharrow militia at 9 after always fighting to beat his brothers his father could no longer keep him. So he trained with the master at arms of Dunharrow with the rest of the militia recruits. His father had not been famous for outsiders but he was an honoured fighter of Dunharrow and often went raiding before he married Lady Otherwind. One of the few things left for Reinald was his fathers helm. But he never got to use it in the militia training. When he was 15 being a good fighter from being raised one he became a militia horseman.He served under the city guard for 6 years and then. He became under the command of a highborn Norlander in his youth of 24 for a raid one day. This was the first raid for Reinald in a while and the first for the Youth. He trotted us alongst the mainroad as the villageguards sounded their warnings. I urged him to charge but he refused.When he decided to at last charge it was to late. They charged straight into a line of pikes on his command. Killing half of his men and killing most of the horses. Reinald himself was thrown of his horse as it died. The Commander fell to an arrow shortly after. It was a slaughter. So i put on my mask and fired of my longbow killing a pikeman. But they were just to many. He jumped up on a horse of one of the dead men. He rode home defeated knowing he was the only survivor. When he headed back he was met by one of Dunharrows scouts. I cried for help as i was bleeding from an arrowwound in my thigh. I sat on his horse and we rode back. The failed raid was a devestation. 30 raiders sent out with only one man surviving. After that he joined the scouts of the Dunharrow where he now is 22 years later.
