Cloud grew up with no family as a result of the men in black hoods who attacked his village, murdered his family and took everything away he loved. He was taken by these men and used as profit for slavery. He was sold to a man who had intentions for him to work on a farm. Cloud grew up here for most of his life taking whatever orders he was given for little to no food. He had a sense of hope though. Some traders that would come would always speaking to him about the opportunities that laid in these lands of Arcas. He knew in order to make a better life of himself he would have to overthrow his owner. On top of farming, Cloud would also cook. Normally when farming he was told to dispose of any rotten or poisonous potatoes. Instead he had kept them and used them to poison his owner’s meal to allow his leave without any hunt for him. Cloud took what he could from the man’s home. Food, gold, a sword and whatever essentials he needed to start his journey.
He had mostly camped outside towns taking whatever mercenary work he could get his hands on. Cloud doesn’t remember much about his parents. He knew by reputation his father was a skilled blacksmith and his mother was a teacher. Cloud always kept that goal in mind. To find those who killed his parents and lay revenge on them. He only had a rough idea of where to go from what logs he could find at the farm where he worked as a slave. Curon was mentioned a lot. Possibly about trade deals, or maybe more answers. Cloud knew he would have to travel there sometime to find out which.
Unfortunately Cloud hadn’t had much mercenary work to fund this ambition of his. He needed a constant flow of work to stack the resources needed to take on this adventure. He had heard word from a place called Adria. A local place looking for workers and to increase the work flow of this ever expanding city. Not only was this a chance of a better life, but Cloud knew of the benefits of joining this project in hope it could one day help his cause in finding those who killed his parents and finding out those answers that always came across his sleeps. Whether it were mercenary work, or to continue his father’s legacy as a blacksmith, he would do anything to help Adria. This would be the first stepping stone in which his adventure would truly start.
