    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I would say knowing your reality and maintaining consent with your fellow players. Having more realistic expectations and outcomes for your character is Key and nobody is "better" than anyone else, and knowing you cannot control other peoples characters I'd say is just rp rules. Oh and of course keeping your characters abilities and "powers" within logical reason and is mutually accepted by those choosing to rp with you.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: it is like spoiling the ending of a good movie, any info that isn't said in RP is not common knowledge and shouldn't be known unless specified otherwise by the owner of said knowledge. Also ties a bit into powergaming as its not supposed to be known AKA your character shouldn't know that just because you personally know that.

Physical Description: Lyra is 6'0 with a slim yet toned build, roughly 140 lbs, her skin is ashen with hidden tattoos, her eyes are lavender, and she has powder white hair
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Lyra would gaze upon the tent one last time before sitting down on a nearby stool, her gaze meeting the hag as she pulls her hood back revealing her powder white hair and pointed elf ears. "Its been a long trek, miss..." her shoulders relaxing as she managed a soft smile. "Hopefully you have enough tea to last us the next couple hours if you're wanting to hear that much of my back story" she'd chuckle before clearing her voice, "I shall keep it short though as you can tell by my complexion I am of elven blood coming from a Velulties family." her gaze would shift around the tent before relaxing and looking back at the lady " I am on a hunt to find my meaning.. find my purpose... I know the stars tell us a lot but I wanted to find myself on my own hence why I am seated before you here, I have been traveling since my 20th birthday to find purpose and understand where my story leads me, I just haven't found anything that has pushed me in the right direction" her head lowering as her confidence dropped. "So here I am..."
