You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"Oh, I just...," the traveler stammers, tensing up. For some strange reason, he feel compelled to keep talking.
"I'm just looking for a home," he say quietly, "I'm tired of not feeling like I belong somewhere, so I'm in search of that."
The witch keeps looking at the traveler, and he realize he is not saying anything she doesn't already know.
"But I think you already know that. You should also know that in my family, I was never comfortable. I always knew I was expendable to them. That's why I left them at such a young age. From then on, I have only wandered the world looking for what I long for."
Suddenly, the traveler realizes that the place where they were is empty, and suddenly he hears a whisper in his ear, "Keep looking for it, you are so close."
