You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Zorin says, "I'm sorry. Do I know you? “He Looks quizzically at the old hag." And how did you know I was coming? “With suspicion creeping in, he rests his hand on the edge of his hilt. He states, "My name is Zorin. I am from a faraway land known as Ember. When I was still only a few months old, dark magic users destroyed my town, and my whole family was killed. I was lucky to be saved by a knight who trained me. The reason I have no last name is because I can't remember my family name at all. Zorin is what the knight named me. ever since then, I have traveled long and far for the sweet scent of adventure and to find those dark magicians who killed my family. Do you know of any quests around here to deal with?" He asks in wonder.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: How I would prevent power gaming is by not stating actions as facts but more as possible, for example, "Zorin tries to swing at the goblin" instead of "Zorin kills the goblin with one swing.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Meta gaming for me is taking out of game knowledge and having that influence in game knowledge. This disrupts role play because then you can use this info and control the game which takes out the suspense in the game which takes out most of the fun.
