    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Utilizing knowledge that you as a person have, despite the character not having access to said knowledge
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Attempting to perform actions that are either not feasible, game-breaking, or otherwise unfair. (i.e. Killing a player in combat without giving an opportunity for them to counter the attack)

Having grown up in Brandybrook, Kasin has always been one to see the best in things. Taught to be honest, and hardworking, Kasin has developed an innate tendency towards these beliefs. Despite this, he’s always had an innate curiosity for the world beyond Brandybrook. He aspires to one day go out into the world and explore the feasts, parties, and people of the outside world. This curiosity has been known to cause problems in the past though. Kasin has a knack for finding things, getting into place, sometimes things they aren’t supposed to find. They won’t steal objects, in fact they despise the very thought of it. They merely wish to see/interact with things, see and explore. This curiosity does bring with it a bit of a naivety to it. They will often times validate doing more precarious by saying things like “I’m not gonna steal it” or “I just want to look around”. They are also rather . . . quirky, though that’s honestly true of all Halflings.

 

To put it in short. Kasin Buttonwood is a curious little Halfling. Power, fame, gold, none of that matters to him. He just wants to see as many cool things/places as he can. Especially if it involves a giant pumpkin. Also praise Knox. That’s honestly the only priority.

Physical Description: Halfling Male 2'9", Scruffy Brown Hair, Green Eyes, White Shirt with Brown Vest, Green Overcoat, and Brown Pants. A fairly innocent demeanor
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
