You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

David walks over to the old lady and warily takes a seat "I'm just passing through town on my way to the city, I'm looking to find work and a more prosperous future" David leans back and sighs clearly showing his exhaustion "You see I come from a small town even more dim than this and there is no future for me there, I've worked on my parents farm all my life but recently a plague has destroyed the crops and left us destitute. so now I am traveling to find work to send money back to my family otherwise they would not survive the winter
"With a look of sadness David clutches his stomach as it groans "I have no coin to my name and I have been traveling for days, would you be perhaps be able to spare me with some of your bread or water to aid me on my long and tiresome journey?" David lowers his head out of respect to the old lady as he asks her for help as he knows she is far from wealthy herself and needs these supplies just as much as he does.
