Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Fumia Liu is a young girl from a far-off land in this fantastical world, one more closed off and unheard of; in terms of structure, it was similar to Asia. She's a simplye girl, not really the kind to think all that much, and just.. do, Fumia is kindhearted, yet air-headed, curious and outgoing, a general extrovert. The girl had set off from her home for no specific reason, simply for the adventure, she wanted nothiing more than to explore and find new people, and potentially find somewhere new she can call home. Her travel took some weeks, going far and wide, meeting new people, accidentally finding herself mixed in with trouble, sick, hungry, healthy, cold, tired, everything you can name, but never did she lose her will to go on, and she was still as up and cheerful as ever. Her journeys eventually found herself in this dingy village, where she looked around with seemingly boundless awe, excited by the littlest details of her ventures from faraway lands to wherever she had ended up now. Her simple mind ignored the putrid miasma which choked the air, and simply skipped around the site, until finally coming across this tent, in which she saw the older woman, and seemed to grow even more amazement. "You know me?" she'd question, completely air-headed to what this woman might be suggesting, the interest glimmering in her rosy eyes like stars of the night sky. "Have we met before? Did my family send you a letter? Ooh ooh! Do you see the future?" the girl couldn't help but shoot questions left and right as she finally planted herself on the cushions, kneeling on it before setting down to sit on her calves, sort of. When the woman ignored her rapid-fire questions and simply asked for her story, Fumia complied, and began, "I'm Fumia Liu, I come from faaar away in that direction," she said, as she pointed roughly Eastward, turning back towards the woman as her hands folded on her lap, "I came travelling to find somewhere really nice. I heard there were some in this region, or further West.. I'm not fully sure..." Fumia leaned back a little, and pivoted her upper body straight again, "I've been travelling for a long while now, I've met all sorts of people, and I've really come to like cooking.. and brewing meade.. and other stuff! I'm not exactly the best yet but I kinda hope someone in a nice city would help me learn, that's why I set out! You wouldn't happen to know anyone, would you? I met this one person.. he was called.." and.. as if on cue.. Fumia began rambling on about her journeys so far.. who she met.. what she picked up.. etcetera. It went on for a short while.. probably until the lady got tired of hearing her speak and sent her off.
