Arno was born as an only child, a Heartlander in Helena. He was always spoiled by his parents and they sheltered him very much. He never got to play with his classmates outside, except when he snuck out during the night. This gave him a lot of practice in being stealthy and agile. He would climb out of his bedroom window many stories up and climb down with great ease using the rooftops around him. This gave him a bit of a double life that his parents never knew about. Arno had become so accustomed to lying to his parents, that he began to also steal from them without regret. This stealing became routine, and grew into a bad habit. He stole from everyone throughout the city of Helena. He never faced consequences for his actions because he was never caught. His parents and his friends around him had just become pawns in his life. He stole from everyone he knew, and he believed himself to be more deserving of their wealth. He viewed himself as some kind of god, and his judgement was the only one that mattered. Yet, Arno was very smart and educated. His parents had made sure that he got a top-notch education. While not being able to use Dark Magic, he developed a great interest in it when reading about it, especially in Blood Magic. Being very knowledgeable in philosophy and the art of thinking, he deemed that he was the one superior being in the land. He developed a hatred for those he deemed evil. His freedom to steal and roam the city without boundaries turned into a feeling of being exempt from all responsibility. This caused him to, one day, kill a classmate he deemed evil during the night. His classmate was a simply a bully that put himself above others, which Arno hated. But, Arno seemed to miscalculate. The classmate’s mother saw Arno and alerted the city guards. Arno became a wanted criminal. He donned a black coat and hood, and left the city of Helena forever.
