Born just a day before a ship of high elves first arrived from Atlas to Arcas, Lamik Fillestar didn’t begin his life the way his parents had. While they were accustomed to a life of regal comfort as librarians at the Eternal College of Okarn'thilln, Lamik was raised to find solace and rest in simpler things during the founding of Lareh'thilln. When the city was just a small settlement, the young elf did his best to help build it up, doing as much physical labor as he could despite not being very built for it. Unfortunately, as the capital of the Silver State grew and flourashed, Lamik began to feel less and less a part of its community- the village that he had once found so comforting and full of life had become a city of incredible yet imposing scale. Suddenly feeling out of place for the first time in his life, Lamik decided to set out and find somewhere more suitable to live.
At the age of 57, Lamik left the city, looking for a more suitable home farther south in the kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. Since then he has been moving from village to village and city to city, never quite managing to find exactly what he is looking for, but also never giving up. During these few years he has grown accustomed to being around other races, to a point where he lacks the values of racial purity that are so often seen in other High Elves. In fact, he often prefers keeping the company of humans rather then that of members of his own species, as he finds their attitude to be more pleasant.
Lamik looked at the man with a small smile, taking in a breath of fresh air. After the stranger finished speaking, the young elf shook his head and let out a small chuckle. “No, no, none of that- though adventure does sound fun. I’m looking for a place to call home, and I heard this would be a good way point to stock up on what I need for the road.” Looking around at the various shops and stalls, he nodded to himself before asking: “Where would I go to stay a few nights?”
