You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
As the male entered the area, he'd brush slow and neutral gaze to the old woman approaching him verbally. " . . . " Giving no response, a male would pat the dust off his clothes, fixing the leather belt with hanging odd sword to it [!] odd, the blade doesn't look like it was made in this continent, it had long and thin shape with an angular edge that looked like a rapier, but it was thicker, the scabbard would be tight in weird colored ropes[!], remaining silent like a fox waiting for its prey figure would approach the old lady, taking a rather unusual sitting position kneeling and letting the lower back end on the heels putting both palms on thighs. After a few moments male would make an eye-contact with the old lady and speak "You say a Story?" Male ignored the fact lady said to recognize him, almost as if it is nothing new in this world "Travelling across the continent, in the hope of finding answers to my deeds, a deep rationale that forced me into hardships and frustration, lead me to leave the one I love. I saw many ruins, towns and villages, and diverse community that is built of reputation and status. Countless waters were passed, with mysterious creatures enjoying their dark kingdom. Reeking in woods bandits setting caravans on fire and murdering the blue-blooded pigeons." Male would stop speaking for a second before brushing his palm onto the right eye hiding it and looking straight at the mossy panorama "Yet. . . I still haven't found anything that brings meaning to me. . . Ironic" Male would summon a sphere of cloud, putting his hand in it and pulling out a papyrus-like roll collection, unfolding it he would reveal several papers [!] all pages would have dry written with dark ink, seemingly like diary notes with universal language, each page had a nice couple of paragraphs with dates under each [!]. He'd give a weak grinning smile and hand the papers to the women "You humans are sure chaotic creatures, you cause so much unneeded fuss and pledge blood on blades the second you don't like something. Yet. . . Even you are living beings that inspired us higher races to be more human-like, hah... Mortal, take these papers and read the stories of loner elf adventures around lands of mystery . . . destined truth of changes. Thy need to me these scripts don't bring anymore, you shall be one to inherit this story and tell passers by what world has become of. Until your last breath reaches your call and soul will be bound to travel a world of spirits." He'd leave the diary notes with the woman as he closed the collected form of clouds, he'd stood up fixing his cloak male would walk away, giving the old lady a wave of a hand as a gesture of safety and heading away towards far mountains "After my journey, the time has come to face my blood ones once again. . . I wonder what the elder father will think of me. . . divergent son who left home to explore the world. . ." Male stopped for a second turning back to the already faded in thick fog dim town and looked up at the gray sky sighing and giving a painful expression "Whatever we do, wherever we go. . . as long as we exist in this world balance and chaos will surround us. . . yet some grand monks and wise wizards said... Love will lead us to the right path..." Ending his speculations male would put the hood back covering his pointy ears and pale white skin, continuing his path ahead.
