You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

 

He kindly takes the seat. He was offered a glass of some kind of hot drink whose looks wasn't really good. With a bit of hesitation, he takes a sip. The strong flavor of the drink makes him cough a bit, but after clearing his throat he begins.

"My name is Cymrik Xiniakovik, I was born in the United Kingdom of Aaun, in which I lived with both of my parents for 18 years of my life. I've been really interested in both Arts and Literature, and I've given my best in both of them. I've could dedicated the rest of my life to them... But...", his face became serious. He holds the glass harder, feeling the warmth of it on both of his hands, "I was involved in something that forced me to go as far as could. No matter where. Just to escape from there, they were coming for me.", he paused for a few seconds, "Rather not say what happened, I didn't even know what I did or do anything at all, I was just... there... I was treated like a criminal, even though I'm far of being one...". He sighs.

"I've been alone for so long, living by myself, eating whatever I could find, not even setting foot in a city without some kind of cloak... I've been insecure for the past 6 years, not knowing when someone could betray me.", he takes his time to catch his breath, he wasn't clearly not comfortable talking about that, "Now I'm 24. I don't know if I could ever go back home, or even if I should. I've been running for a long time, but I think it's time to stay for a bit. I'm pretty sure that I'll be better here, in Norland.", he smiles, tired.

"I helped a man repair his old carriage and he gave me a ride to Alisgrad, then I met this guy, Aral Venforth I believe was his name, who joined us, and I've been talking with him since then.", he pauses, and looks around the tent, "And now I'm here.", he frowned, " Which reminds me I should be going now. We're not that far from Alisgrad, but I prefer not to walk if I have a carriage waiting for me.", once again, he smiles with gratitude, "Thank you. I had to get this off my chest.", then he takes another sip from his now cold drink, "Oh, right... This still tastes awful...", he mumbles between coughs as he leaves the tent.
